NUS Wushu Camp - Jan 2011

Hi all,

NUS Wushu camp is here again!

This time, the camp will begin at 6.30pm on 3 Jan 2011, and end at 8pm on 5 Jan 2011 (Mon - Wed).
This camp will be lots of fun (!!!) as we bond together as one NUS Wushu, and we will strive to take this opportunity to improve our wushu skills and our fitness levels as well.
Do feel free to bring your friends along, as this camp is open to all!

2nd Singapore International Wushu Championship and Qi Gong Demonstration Competition 2010

In the recently concluded 2nd Singapore International Wushu Championship and Qi Gong Demonstration Competition 2010, NUS Wushu is proud to have clinched a total of 14 Gold and 6 Silver medals to emerge as overall 4th!

NUS Wushu Invitational Championship

Hi all,

NUS Wushu Invitational Championship was a great success today! Thanks go out to all of the competitors from participating institutions, all supporters present to cheer them on, the organising committee and helpers, and to everyone who made this possible!

We are very proud to announce that the NUS Wushu team did well in this year's Invitational Championship and managed to clinch a total of 3 Golds, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals to emerge as 3rd overall!

NUS Wushu Invitational Championship

NUS Wushu is very proud to be hosting the Wushu Invitational Championship this year. It will be held at NUS, MPSH 5, on the 30th October, 2010, from 9am - 7pm.

Do feel free to come down to support any of your friends from NUS or from any of the other 7 participating tertiary institutions [NTU, SMU, NYP, NP, SP, RP, ITE(C), ITE(W)]!

Beginner's Course

Hi all,

To those who came down for our Welcome Tea, hope you enjoyed yourselves and got to know more about Wushu from the performances and interaction with our club members! :)

Those who couldn't make it down, don't worry you can simply come down to join us next Monday straight! :)

We'll be starting the Beginner's Course next Monday (30th August). Trainings will be from 7-10pm, at Tennis Court No. 14. If it's raining, we will shift to a sheltered area, so do look out for Wushu persons clad in maroon coloured shirts and long black pants if you are lost! You can also call Tien Eu (Captain) at 9229 5668 or Yuan Lu (Vice-Captain) at 9325 0886 if you're really lost :)

Do come dressed in t-shirt, long pants (eg. track pants) and covered shoes (eg. sport shoes), and filled with enthusiasm! :)

For those who are new to Wushu, we'll be starting the Beginner's course the week after the Welcome Tea. We'll be teaching basic punches, kicks and stances. If you're interested, do sign up during the Welcome Tea.

Training

Hi all! Please take note that:

Trainings will be held at Tennis Court No.14 from 2nd August till 1st September as our original training place, MPSH 2, will be used for the Youth Olympic Games in August. Trainings will begin at 7pm. Also, there will be no training on 9th August (Monday), National Day.

NUS Wushu Club will be setting up a booth during Matriculation Fair. If you have questions that you want to ask, or would like to know more about what Wushu's all about, how our training sessions are like, what it's like to be a part of NUS Wushu Club, etc, come on down to our booth to speak to us! We're very friendly!! :) :)

Our booth will be located at MPSH 2, along the row of booths closest to the windows. Look out for people clad in maroon NUS Wushu shirts!

Wushu Camp (May)

Hey,

There will be a training camp on 28-30 May 2010.

The camp aims to improve our wushu skill, improve our fitness level, and have lots of fun at the same time. Do spread word to your friends if they are interested in wushu as the camp is open for all to join. The camp will start at 6pm on 28 May and end at 7.30pm on 30 May.

Change in Training Venue (1-17 March)

Hey!

Do note that MPSH 2 will be closed for NUS Open House activities from 1-17 March. Trainings will be conducted at the tennis/street soccer courts 13 and 14 instead. The area is next to the staircase leading to the track and field and fitness corner area. If the place is occupied by other users, we will be training at the semi-circular area at the track itself. And in the case of wet weather, we can be found training outside MPSH 1 and 6.

Recess Week Training Schedule

The Champion 武状元

The Champion 武状元 performance will be showing on 7 Feb 2010. It's a performance collaboration by both the Beijing Wushu Team & Kuen Wushu Academy (and together with 8 of our guys peforming inside too!).
